Successful trip to South Africa


The trip to South Africa held several highlights for Steca. The main event was the ISES Solar World Congress 2009. The latest products in the PV grid feeding, PV off grid systems and solar thermal fields were presented at Steca’s trade fair stand.  Furthermore, in her presentation on "PV system concepts and energy efficiency", Huguette Aust introduced the congress members to the latest technologies and solar concepts.

A further highlight consisted of the commissioning of the first 3-phase grid feeding system in Johannesburg. The complete solar energy system with a capacity of 43 kWp was erected by a partner on site. The inverters used on the industrial roof are all new StecaGrid 9000 3ph. With grid-feed remuneration not yet introduced, the system primarily serves to reduce the own energy consumption.
